About Us
Established in 2003, Youth Referral and Placement Unit Inc. (YRPU) is a 501(c)(3) community-based nonprofit organization serving abused women, their families, and members of the community throughout New York.
In the past fiscal year alone, YRPU provided services to approximately 1,500 clients.
Each year, nearly 800 abused women enter the YRPU program seeking:
Trauma counseling
Domestic violence counseling
Housing placement assistance
Anger management therapy
Parenting skills education classes
Medical attention following physical assault
These women come to us during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Your support helps provide safety, healing, and hope.
Why Your Donation Matters
Without funding, YRPU will not be able to continue offering essential counseling services, care, and support that empower women to rebuild their lives free from violence and fear.
We are kindly asking the public for help in combating domestic violence and abuse against women and children.
Even a $1 donation can make a difference.
Your generosity helps ensure that women and children can live free from injury and harm—paving the way for them to become productive members of society. Our children are our future leaders.
